The Cricket Shepparton outfit has benefitted from an upgrade in, sure enough, outfits for the current 2024-25 summer season.
The refreshed uniforms came as a long-awaited buff for the club, which wasted no time in expressing gratitude to its raft of community sponsors for the support required to produce the change.
It’s no small-fry investment by any means either — the uniforms come courtesy of MCA Apparel, an Australian brand which supplies more than 10 million garments and club gear items a year around the world.
Add all that together and Tatura head coach Daniel Coombs is understandably pretty chuffed.
“We haven’t had a new kit for about seven years and we’ve got great sponsors at our club,” Coombs said.
“It’s enabled us to get this new kit for our juniors and seniors and be able to improve our equipment and support our juniors with their coaching set-up.
“It’s a new design and it makes us look sharper. Everyone seems to be really happy with the clothing we got from MCA.
“They’re supporting our local community and giving back a bit to the area.
“It’s been working on the pitch for our A-grade and B-grade as well.”
You can certainly make that last point given the club’s fortunes in the opening month of action with its refreshed look.
Tatura’s Haisman Shield outfit sits undefeated at the league’s summit following four straight wins — some of which came easier than others, to put it one way.
Meanwhile, the Clyde Young Shield side started the season with three straight in the win column before tasting defeat for the first time last weekend at the hands of Karramomus.
The whole place feels refreshed, in essence.
“There’s a great buzz around the club at the moment,” Coombs said.
“It’s quite a young group in all the grades having good performances and getting wins for the club.
“We have a good mix of senior and junior players and I think we’re starting to get the reward for the hard work done over a few years.”
