With the visitors electing to bat after winning the toss, Tallarook made a hot start with the ball through Blake Munari-O’Dwyer, who dismissed opener Thomas White and number three James Lincoln for ducks to have the Tigers in immediate trouble at 2-4.
Matthew Archibald joined the party shortly after by removing Yea skipper Andrew Butterworth (7), but the Tigers responded with a handy partnership between Edison Waghorn and Cameron Armstrong.
The pair put on 47 for the fourth wicket, however when Waghorn was removed by Kalon Winnell, the floodgates opened for Tallarook.
The home side tore through the Yea middle and lower order, taking 6-31 in the final few overs to restrict the visitors to a total of 9-94 from the 20 overs.
Armstrong was the sole Yea batsman to go on with his innings, belting 41 off 29 deliveries to help propel his side close to the century mark.
Munari-O’Dwyer was the pick of the home side’s bowlers, snaring 2-10, while Winnell was the only other multiple wicket taker, claiming 2-17.
With bat in hand, the Rooks made a decent start, although opener Joshua Rudge found himself back in the pavilion for 11 after being trapped in front by Waghorn.
Skipper Lachlan Watts starred at number three, smacking an unbeaten 54 off 58 deliveries to help the Rooks reach the 95 required with two overs to spare, while Mitch Itter made 15 before being dismissed by Thomas White.
The win sees Tallarook remain on top of the A-grade ladder with six rounds remaining, with a round 11 fixture against Puckapunyal awaiting next week.
Elsewhere, Seymour proved too strong for Alexandra at the weekend, claiming an eight-wicket win at Leckie Park.
Winning the toss and electing to bowl, Seymour kept the home side to 6-76 from the 20 overs, before comfortably chasing down the 77 required in just 17 overs.
In B-grade, Alexandra beat Seymour by 25 runs, posting 4-131 before bowling Seymour out for 106, Avenel remains unbeaten after a mammoth 56-run win over Pyalong, and Tallarook was too strong for Yea, claiming a 32-run win.
