Kelly Smith has been announced as the coach of the under-15s, under-17s, and B-grade Seymour Lions netball sides for the 2024 Goulburn Valley League season.
Smith will continue supporting the development of the club’s junior netballers while adding the B-grade role this season, taking over from club coach Ellie Fuhrmeister.
Fuhrmeister said the club was in good hands, with Smith looking after most of the club’s teams.
“Kelly is an incredibly experienced player and coach and will be a huge part of what we hope is another successful season on the court,” Fuhrmeister said.
“She’s dedicated a lot of time to our club over the years and has a wealth of experience to draw on while supporting both our junior players and senior netballers.
“Having Kelly involved with the B-grade will also give those junior players coming up into senior netball a familiar voice and face, which is always important when making that transition.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with Kelly this year, and I’m excited about what we can all achieve together across our netball program in 2024.”
