Wednesday’s competition saw Bill Matthews (6) dominate A-grade with a remarkable 44 points, while Roger Edwards (22) clinched the B-grade victory with a solid 33 points.
Greg Pell, Luke Rogan and John Callaghan showcased their precision, claiming nearest-the-pin honours on the sixth, 12th and 17th holes, respectively.
The fourth hole, however, remained unconquered.
The ball pool, requiring 33 points or better, included Matthews, Rogan, Mark Fountain, John Boruch, Pell and Edwards.
Friday’s social six-hole stroke event, played across holes one to six, attracted more players thanks to the improved weather and extended daylight hours.
Matthews (4) maintained his impressive form, securing the win with a net score of 24.7.
Saturday’s stableford round featured a single competition. John Muscovich (16) emerged victorious in A-grade with 38 points, while John Mundy (18) claimed B-grade honours with 35 points. Boruch demonstrated exceptional skill, winning nearest-the-pin on both the sixth and 12th holes, with Pell triumphing on the 17th.
The fourth hole once again remained unclaimed.
Mundy and Russell Peel excelled in the drive-and-pitch on the eighth and 15th holes, respectively.
The ball pool included Muscovich, Pell, Mundy, Peel and Matthews.
Looking ahead, the next Friday social six-hole event will be stableford over holes 10 to 15. On Saturday, August 17, both men and women will compete in a stroke round.
