It was a cracking winter’s day, with light winds in the morning, building in the afternoon. Still, shooting conditions were almost perfect.
The competition was 75 targets of the gun, shot in three rounds of 25 targets. Shooters enjoyed a challenging array of targets on two grounds each with six shooting stands.
The competition was again tight, with nine tied results determined by countback.

High Gun: Brett Jory 63/75.
AA grade: 1st Andrew Dundas 61/75 CB; 2nd Peter Lee 61/75 CB; 3rd Tom Challis 61/75 CB.
A-grade: 1st Andrew Bigham 61/75; 2nd Andrew Harrington 59/75 CB; 3rd Skip Roberts 59/75 CB.
B-grade: 1st Daniel Macrae 57/75; 2nd Ross Poxon 55/75; 3rd Robert Treble 53/75.
C-grade: 1st Ian Walton 48/75 CB; 2nd Ian Laidler 48/75 CB; 3rd Greg Potter 45/75.
Sub-Juniors: 1st Cameron Clark 32/75.
Juniors: 1st Bailey Coulston 52/75 CB; 2nd Dylan Naylor 52/75 CB; 3rd Lachlan O’Connor 51/75.

The club held its annual general meeting on Sunday, August 27, which resulted in a strong committee. The executive is president Peter Murphy, vice president Logan Baker, secretary Robert Treble, treasurer Braydan Baker and membership officer Alison Coombs.
The club would like to thank Jess Parkinson for her many years of service as an office bearer in the roles of secretary and treasurer and Alison Coombs for her five years as secretary.
The September Shoot is the biggest on the calender and one of the largest in the national competition and is expected to attracted more than 300 competitors. It is on Saturday, September 2 and is a 100 target event. Nominations are open on ‘my club my scores’ app.
