Dingwall was a popular winner of the Sandra Cox Medal as the B-grade best-and-fairest player.
The Tigerettes utility polled 21 votes to win a thrilling count by two from a three-way tie for second featuring Jana Pearson (Shepparton Swans), Charlette Grey (Tatura) and Ruby Higgins (Shepparton).
Dingwall trailed Pearson by five points after round 12, but powered home in the final six rounds.
She polled two votes against Shepparton (round 13) before maximum votes against Tatura (round 14) and Benalla (round 15) catapulted Dingwall to the lead.
A one-vote game in the final round against Shepparton United sealed the special success.
“It’s very unexpected,” Dingwall said on receiving the medal.
“I’ve been thrown everywhere this year, mainly defence or through the middle, it chops and changes, but I’ve enjoyed playing defence this year.”
Dingwall delivered Rochester’s second Sandra Cox Medal win in as many years after Annie Hughes prevailed in 2022.
Making her already superb achievement even more impressive was the fact Dingwall overcame two ACL injuries as a teenager to become a top-quality netballer.
“I guess I was so young when I did them, I was 18 when I did my second one, I still had a lot of netball in front of me and was super keen for it,” she said.
Dingwall paid tribute to her parents, coaches and her teammates for what she described as “an amazing year”.
