Strathmerton 27 def by Rennie 34.
The coaches are so proud of the Rennie girls this week, stepping up and playing great netball.
The Hoppers had a plan and they stuck to it. The first quarter saw Rennie steady and take the lead over a tough Strathy side.
Once again the defence was providing many opportunities which the attackers took and converted.
In the second quarter the Hoppers continued to work well across the court. Lots of drive into attack kept Rennie in the lead.
The third was a whole new game with rain making the conditions slippery.
The Hoppers girls adapted so well to conditions and all though the opponents gallantly had a comeback in the last, Rennie lifted and took out the four points.
With many standouts this game and the girls efforts so intense, each player received awards, deservingly so. Let’s keep working and get prepared for the trek next week.
Awards: All girls were awarded incentives this week due to the many standouts within this week’s game.

This week the girls came out firing and hungry for a win this week. Haylee and Sarah were on fire this week with their goals and worked well moving in the ring together.
The defenders Ally and Georgie worked hard this week and pulled every rebound in with two hands. At the end of the first half the scores were tied and the girls needed to dig deep.
The third quarter saw Hayley give some huge passes into the ring where Sarah was there every time to receive the passes. Nada Nolen also gave some long bombs straight into the ring which was great to see the girls looking down the court for those passes.
Lacey and Tayah dominated in WD this week sticking nice and tight to their player giving the Hoppers an 11 goal lead going into the last quarter.
A great win this week girls. The Hopper girls are now eager to show Mathoura what they can do.
Awards: One Zach - Sarah Cummins, Yarra Hotel - Ally Thrumble, Yarra News - Taya Davey and Zambreros - Haylee Wilson.

The C Res Hoppers were in Bulldog Territory this weekend. The girls were looking like they had just come back from a holiday in the Jersey Shore, all sporting a juicy tan for the upcoming ball that evening.
The girls met their match with the game being point for point majority of the time.
The team can thank Tegs and Leonie for their flawless shots and everyone else for working hard to get it to them.
Overall, the game was fast and furious, quite similar to fan fav Shez Mcburnie behind the Ricky Ds pizza machine at 1am.
The game finished two goals down for the Hoppers, but the girls didn't let the loss drag them down for too long as there were pre drinks to be drank.
Even after giving it their absolute all during the game, the girls still had some life left in their legs, enough to tear up the RSL D Floor that evening.
Rumours say that 17 floorboards had to be replaced. Tune in next week fans.

Another game and another win for the girls. Hard work, consistency and dedication to their training and team seem to be the common factor for this group of girls that contributes to their wins.
The game against Strathy started out really even and a tough contest. With Strathy goalers not missing, it was the Rennie girls turn to put the pressure on from the moment it was in their opponents hands to make sure the ball couldn't make its way to their goal ring.
Team captain Sophia Shaw made her mark on the court with intercept after intercept, and her quick feet in the midcourt.
Following along with her sister, Heleena Shaw dominating the defensive end and also provided the court with some laughter every now and then.
Georgia Phillips and Laynee Rhodes also had a smashing game, proving what patience, and reading the play can do to change a games flow.
Well done girls!

The girls were met with freezing cold and wet conditions at Strathy this week, but that didn’t stop them from playing an excellent game.
The Hoppers settled into the game beautifully, taking control from the very first centre.
The defensive pressure and fight for the ball across the entire court by all the girls was excellent.
Rennie utilised every turnover, ensuring it was rewarded in the attacking end. The talk and encouragement to each other on and off the court was amazing to see and hear.
Another great win for the girls, they should all be proud!
Awards: Zambreros - Charlotte Burrows, Mulwala Bakery - Darla Lawless, Rhodes Family - Sophie Coghill and Ali Baba Kebabs - Demi Rhodes.

Another amazing team game by the Rennie girls against Strathmerton. After a bit of a shaky start in wet conditions the Hoppers girls settled really well and used excellent defensive pressure all over the court resulting in many turnovers and intercepts.
The goalies were on fire and the defence strong, resulting in a 33-7 win!
Well done girls.

Waking up to such a horrible day was a bit of worry but driving to Strathy you could see the clear sky overhead.
Getting out of the car you realised just how cold it was but the girls were still as keen as always.
They were 3 girls down so they all got extra court time so no one had time to realise how cold it was. Everyone played a great game. The defence was amazing and they moved the ball down the court shooting some great goals.
The Hopperettes just need to do some extra work on passes and slowing down a little and using the three seconds.
Well done girls; you all gave 100% and the coaches just love the great sportsgirlship you all bring to the team.
Awards: Mulwala Bakery - Lennie Trewarne, Avalanche Ice-Creamery - Ella Wilson, PM Junior Development Award - Lily Lewis and Rhodes Family - Ruby Doric.
