Shepparton export and recent Sandover Medal winner Nik Rokahr is looking to leave Swan Districts after one season in the WAFL.
The West Australian reported that the star midfielder was looking to return to Norwood — where he played 73 games — in 2025 despite one year remaining on his contract.
Rokahr’s decision to leave is based on family reasons — his partner is from South Australia — but Swan Districts are looking to hold the gun midfielder for next season.
Norwood released a statement on December 6 which demonstrated its eagerness to have Rokahr back at the club in any capacity.
“The Norwood Football Club was recently informed of Nik Rokahr’s plans to return to Adelaide in 2025,” the statement said.
“His decision to relocate to SA is driven by a significant career opportunity and a strong desire to settle back in Adelaide with his partner Blaine.
“While Nik is currently contracted to Swan Districts for the 2025 season, Norwood is engaged in discussions with the WAFL club to explore avenues for him to continue his football journey with Norwood in 2025.
“Regardless of the outcome, we look forward to welcoming Nik back to Adelaide and integrating him into the Norwood Football Club, whether as a player or in a coaching capacity.”
