McAdam triumphs at Nagambie, secures gold medal play-off spot

Two scores better than handicap were recorded on the day, with Bob McAdam taking the win with 95-25-70.

McAdam's win secures him a spot in the gold medal play-off in a fortnight.

Runner-up with one of his better scores for the year was Peter Lawrence with 95-24-71.

Lawrence continued his run of good results, having made the final of the club’s doubles match play final the previous week.

Rounding out the top three was Lindsay Hall, who did the Lindsay Hall thing with very few mistakes and nothing spectacular for an 86-14-72.

The nearest-the-pin prizes went to Michael Roberts, who hit a strong iron on to the eighth, Phil Deane was red-hot on the 13th and Tim Baldwin sizzled on the 16th.

Next week's golf will be the fifth round of the social club trophy, with hit-off from 9am to 9.30am.
