The Country Football and Netball Program will allow clubs to apply for the grants through their local councils.
They can apply for grants which would help cover costs associated with projects such as updating court lighting, change rooms and pavilions.
State Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland said clubs should quickly get in contact with their council to ensure their projects get nominated for the program.
“This funding can provide a crucial boost for so many of our local sporting clubs that need critical upgrades,” Cleeland said.
“I encourage all football and netball clubs in the region to put forward a proposal to their local council.”
During the last sitting week of state parliament, Cleeland discussed the need for further upgrades to sporting clubs across the region.
“Many of our region’s clubs are still in desperate need of new and fit-for-purpose equipment, facilities, and amenities that can best serve the community,” Cleeland said.
Developed in partnership with the AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria, the program has invested more than $40 million and delivered more than 575 projects since 2005.
Clubs and council have until on Monday, September 30, to apply for the grants.
