Rochester Kart Club secretary and former president John Trebilcock said the club boasted one of the premier tracks in the karting scene.
“The track itself is recognised nationally,” he said.
“Competitors enjoy the track and it's among the best tracks in Australia to race.
“(That’s) the feedback we get from people that have come interstate, locally and even from metropolitan.”
Trebilcock pointed to the technical challenges provided by the track’s layout and the quality of the racing surface as the most praised features.

The club recently completed work on refurbishing its canteen after receiving $60,000 from the Tiny Towns Fund.
It currently has 44 registered members and a new, restructured committee is looking to grow participation through re-establishing regular events and continuing to work on improving the club’s infrastructure.
Beating the heat before racing was a top priority.
