Crossman began her tournament in imperious fashion at Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club, accounting for first-up opponent Serena Lee 6-0, 6-0 before an equally strong showing over Sophia Brooks-Gray, 6-0, 6-2, in the round of 16.
In the quarter-finals, Crossman was again a straight sets victor, 6-2, 6-1, over Juliette Debrincat to book a semi-final contest with Khan.
While Crossman claimed a promising first set 6-3, Khan struck back swiftly with a strong 6-1 reply, forcing the game into a tie-break set, where her experience proved decisive in a 10-6 tiebreaker win.
Crossman remains in the hunt for doubles honours, progressing to the semi-finals with teammate Piper Freeman.
In the men’s draw, former Rich River Tennis Club star turned American university tennis player Josh Bavich was also in action.
Bavich progressed to the round of 16 courtesy of a 6-3, 6-4 victory over #3 seed Sam Young-Mathers, before his campaign drew to a close at the hands of Hanival Kahsay, 6-1, 6-3.
