Magie Hamil has taken over the reins of the Towners’ A-grade and B-grade squads for 2024. Hamil may only be new to town, but with 40 years of coaching experience, she will surely have the girls fighting for a finals berth. “I started going to watch the footy and netball the day after we moved here,” Hamil said. “I love the town, I love the people, and the club is one of the most welcoming clubs I’ve been at. “If we have our way, there will be eight netball teams representing Violet Town this season, and I think that is something to be incredibly proud of.” By Hamish Donaldson
