The Deniliquin Netball Association’s representative teams travelled to Albury on Sunday to compete at their first tournament for the 2025 season.

It was a positive start to 2025 representative season, and DNA is looking forward to watching the teams develop their individual and team skills as they progress through the tournaments.
The next tournament is Wangaratta next weekend.
Reports from Albury are as follows:
Under-11s:
The rep team had an outstanding day, demonstrating remarkable growth and determination, delivering standout performances across all positions.
Oaklee Morrison and Pip Holden made significant strides throughout the day, elevating their game and showcasing their development.
Their sharper passes and enhanced defensive efforts clearly illustrated that they are ready to tackle more challenging games ahead.
In terms of versatility, Stevie Williams, Harper Bulmer, and Claire Menadue were exceptional, they switched positions seamlessly, displaying their well-rounded skills.
Whether it was shooting, defending, or managing the midcourt, they adapted effortlessly, ensuring the team remained dynamic and robust.
Harriet Maher, Stella Butcher, and Harriet Walker showed remarkable synergy with the game.
Their ability to read the play with precision allowed them to anticipate the ball’s movement and position themselves effectively.
Their strong defensive play and impeccable timing were crucial in intercepting the opposition’s attacks.
Aysha Bartlett also stood out as a key player, executing several stunning intercepts throughout the day.
She seemed to be everywhere, snatching the ball out of the air and launching it back up the court for additional attacks.
By the end of the day, the team had demonstrated incredible teamwork and progress, leaving everyone in high spirits.
Overall, it was a day filled with fun, growth, and plenty of laughter. We can’t wait to see how much more the girls will improve in the coming weeks.
Under-13s:
The rep team experienced a remarkable first tournament together, narrowly missing out on the semi-final against Albury Gold with a score of 10-5.
The girls displayed incredible effort throughout all their games, competing under sunny and challenging conditions.
The defence worked relentlessly, successfully regaining possession multiple times and earning recognition for their hard work.
Meg Meharry received the team award for her dedication and effort during the tournament, particularly her drive and ability to re-offer during transitions.
Meanwhile, Rhyla Bunyan's speed and aggressive pursuit of the ball enabled her to secure numerous interceptions, creating valuable scoring opportunities for her team, which earned her the Performance Award for her outstanding contributions.
Under-15s:
It was a tough tournament from start to finish, with the Under-15s DNA Rep team being placed in the division one pool.
In warm, sunny conditions, the girls were up for the challenge and did not disappoint.
All nine players delivered an impressive performance, displaying some really great, consistent passages of play, they should all be very proud of their efforts!
Mid-courters Jorja Woolston, Brydey Maher and Kyah Watson were focused and determined, working tirelessly against strong opponents all day.
Amelie Bulmer and Georgia Danckert delivered pinpoint passes into the goal circle, where Olivia Jeffrey and Lilly Boyer both showed their ability to stay composed under pressure. They shot with accuracy and gained rebounds when needed.
Maggie Shields and Nina Glowrey used their defensive skills to apply relentless pressure to their opponents, taking multiple intercepts and rebounds throughout the day.
