The 2024-25 country racing season is set to kick off on Tuesday, August 27, at Seymour Racing Club with its annual Members’ Day.
It will be the first of a 12-meet season for the SRC, which includes the Seymour Cup on October 13.
Chief executive Chris Martin said there was a buzz around the club ahead of the upcoming season.
“We’re incredibly excited about the return of racing after a huge 12 months,” Martin said.
“Over the down period we’ve been busy ensuring the track is in tip-top condition, and we’re well set for the year ahead.”
SRC members will be rewarded for their loyalty with a free two-course meal on offer, as well as the chance to win a $50 voucher, redeemable at the Seymour Club.
“Our members have been incredibly loyal to our club over many years, and we’re delighted to announce some exciting new offerings for them this season,” Martin said.
Non-members can dine at the Bar Landy restaurant for $45 per person.
The launch of the new season comes after the club was named as a finalist for the Country Club of the Year Award.
Martin said he encouraged anyone with an interest in racing and country hospitality to join the club and become a member.
“The club hopes to see a great range of community representation trackside when racing returns on August 27,” he said.
