Seymour was unable to stop the Shepparton juggernaut at the weekend, going down to an impressive Bears outfit at Deakin Reserve on Saturday.

Having last week become the first team to crack the 200-point barrier when it kicked 32 goals against Tatura, Seymour this week managed just six goals for the contest, falling 6.9 (45) to 11.18 (84).
It was a slow start for both sides, with each managing just one goal in the first term, and the hosts headed to the quarter-time huddle with a slender four-point advantage.
But it was in the second term that the Lions lost contact, conceding four goals while mustering just a single of their own to trail by 24 points at the main break.
Seymour managed to stop the bleeding when the two sides emerged from the rooms for the third quarter, matching Shepparton’s two goals for the term, although the margin was extended to 27 points at the final break.
When the final siren sounded, the Bears had romped to a 39-point win, their 14th of the season.
There were some positives for the Lions in the loss, as Nathan Beattie continued a stellar individual season, collecting 32 disposals and 12 clearances as the highest ranked Lion on the ground.
Tom Maloney (24 disposals, eight clearances) was industrious, with Jack Murphy (32 disposals, six score involvements) also prolific.
Seymour also continued its strong clearance game, winning the count 41-37. However, it was unable to capitalise, scoring just 1.4 (10) from that source, while struggling to defend after coughing the ball up, conceding 9.13 (67) from turnovers.
Ricky Schraven was the only Lion to kick multiple goals, booting two, while Nathan Fowler, Max Lawrence, Cooper Lubeck and James Wooster each kicked one.
Seymour will host Echuca at Kings Park in the first week of the split round 16 this weekend, and will seek to avenge the 33-point defeat it suffered at the hands of the Murray Bombers in round 13.
