Lavington export Zarli Goldsworthy, who was the other Bushranger to collect a NAB League All-Australian jumper alongside Skepper, took home the Daisy Pearce Medal for best-and-fairest player.
Skepper picked up votes in all nine matches she took part in for the Bushies this season, finishing with an impressive 14 to her name.
Bushrangers’ assistant coach Mario De Santa-Ana said Skepper’s season had catapulted her into AFLW draft contention.
“Keeley’s had a real solid year — VIC Country rep, All-Australian side, she also won the MVP for Vic Country over the carnival,” he said.
“She’s a super player and a beautiful kick of the footy, can play either off half-back or on-ball.
“She’d be pretty high up on the list of potential draftees, I imagine.”
Not far off the pace on the Bushrangers’ vote count was Shepparton Swans duo Tayissa and Madison Gray, who collected nine and six votes respectively, while Skepper’s United teammate Cassidy Mailer finished with eight.
Finley’s Olivia Ciccolini took home the Brian Hill Award for best club person.
Leading goal-kicker went to Mindy Quade, who amassed a cool 17 goals across the season.
With two dual All-Australians, two AFLW Academy players and nine currently participating in the AFLW draft combine, De Santa-Ana said the girls’ representative honours were well-deserved after a productive season.
“On the back of our season, we’re pretty happy with the results,” he said.
“We really took the program up to a new level this year, we really focused on getting stronger and fitter and, at the same time, working on our skill set away from training as well.
“We saw those results with the sheer number of girls we’ve had playing representative football this year.”
