With the new season approaching, Avenel Tennis Club is inviting members of the community to a social event on Thursdays from 5.30pm.
A club spokesperson said all were welcome; you did not have to be a champion player, it was all about having some fun.
Anyone interested in playing Saturday senior competition is encouraged to message either Stephen Garner (0419 870 207) or Dee Wright (0419 438 949).
“(Please do so) quickly, so the committee will know how many teams to enter,” the spokesperson said.
For those interested in the social membership, it will cost $25 for an individual and $50 for a family.
Social members are reminded membership fees for the 2024/25 season are now due.
“A working bee will be held on Sunday, September 8 at 9am along with an open day, in which all members of the community are welcome to have a hit,” the spokesperson said.
“The open day will be held the same day as the Avenel Market, so you can grab lunch after your workout on the court.”
