Avenel Golf Club’s Mark Hannigan shines with impressive round

Bill Eddy was the runner-up, finishing square. Ron Harrison at -1 and Alex Smith at -2 also collected line balls.

Smith won two more balls by taking the drive-and-pitch on the eighth and the nearest-the-pin on the 18th, while Hannigan collected the ball for nearest-the-pin on the 14th.

The Imperial Hotel Voucher was won by Ollie Aitken.

Tomorrow, the club is hosting the DDGA Vets. The club warmly welcomes them to enjoy the course.

This Saturday is the July monthly medal and it will be a stroke play off the back tees.

On Saturday, July 27, a par-3 course will be set up. Be sure to join the club for a fun day.
