A total of 150 players converged on ClubMulwala the weekend before last for the Yarrawonga Mulwala invitational 5 a side darts tournament.

Thirty teams – 18 men’s and 12 ladies – mainly from Victoria competed in the Saturday, Sunday event of August 24 and 25 with a total prize purse of $10,000.
Out of town competitors were from Bendigo, Geelong, Melbourne, Horsham, Echuca, Shepparton and Albury.
There were 140 games played. Thirty-seven players threw 180s and a total of 69 were thrown in the event.

Men’s Winners – The Amigos; Men’s Runners up – The Wanderers
Women’s winners – Girls on Fire; Women’s runners up – All Sorts
170 peg – Dylan Oaff
Most 180s Men’s – Harley Kemp (10)
Most 180 Women’s – Emily Wills (1) (all sorts) and Jodie(1) (Cheetahs)
Men’s highest peg (other than 170) – Azza 158 (FUBAR)
Women’s Highest peg – Maggie Cooper (113).
Originally started in 2016, and traditionally run at the Mulwala ski club. Club Mulwala are the new major sponsors of the event.
Players, officials and supporters loved being at ClubMulwala. “It was exceptional hospitality, we are very appreciative of them having us there and staff were outstanding,” Tournament Director, Yarrawonga Mulwala Darts Association, Darren Sharples said.
