A woman assaulted her former partner of three years, a court has heard.
Grace Williams, 21, of Deniliquin, was charged with assault.
The charge was heard in her absence at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court.
Prosecutor Leading Senior Constable Chris Cole said Williams punched her former partner of three years in the ribs and face, and held him in a headlock outside a Shepparton hotel in February.
Williams admitted to police they had an altercation on the street, but said her ex-partner had pushed her inside the hotel 15 minutes before the assault.
She told police she knew she “took it too far”.
Williams was fined $500 with no conviction recorded.
