Police said eight motorbikes were taken from Shepparton Motorcycles and Power Equipment in Benalla Rd from 2.20am.
Police allege four people wearing face coverings and gloves broke into the store and stole eight motorbikes worth about $53,000 during a storm.
They say the four took four motorbikes and pushed them west along Benalla Rd, before returning and taking a second four the same way.
The motorbikes were all red and white, and included three Honda CRF 450s, two Honda CRF 250s, one Honda CRF 125 and two Honda CRF 50s.
Police recovered one of the motorbikes after a 14-year-old Shepparton boy crashed in Batman Ave in Shepparton at 5.10pm the day it was taken.
The boy was taken to Goulburn Valley Health after the crash.
He was not arrested because of his injuries, but police said he would be interviewed at a later date.
Another three of the motorbikes were recovered on Thursday, November 28, after police received information about three people pushing motorbikes in Mitchell St, Shepparton, at 5.10am.
Police found the three motorbikes leaning against a fence in Watson St when they went to the area.
Three people were seen nearby a short time later and arrested, police said.
A 31-year-old Shepparton man, an 18-year-old Shepparton man and a 34-year-old Shepparton woman were charged with handling stolen goods.
The trio were bailed to appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court in March next year.
Police said it was the second time the store had been broken into in a week.
Police said two people wearing face coverings and gloves broke into the store just before 2.50am on November 20.
They allegedly stole two 2025 Honda CRF 250 motorcycles and two helmets worth $22,500 before heading west on Benalla Rd pushing the bikes.
Police said investigations were ongoing to recover the other stolen motorbikes.
Anyone with information about the alleged thefts or location of the motorbikes should phone Detective Sergeant Matt Clowes at Shepparton crime investigation unit on 5820 5777 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report at crimestoppersvic.com.au
