Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit Detective Acting Sergeant Matt Clowes said police searched two houses in Shepparton and one in Mooroopna during the day.
A large collection of collector coins believed to have been stolen during a burglary in Shepparton in December was seized from the first Shepparton house that police searched.
They also discovered a Husqvarna ride-on mower, worth $10,000, that was stolen from Rushworth in November 2024.
Det Act Sgt Clowes said police also seized “at least two duffle bags” of cigarettes as well as “bags and bags” of 750ml alcohol spirits bottles they believed had been stolen.
A “significant amount” of prescription medication was also seized, which police believe may be linked to a theft.
Police also found two stolen guns at the second Shepparton house that was searched.
The 12-gauge shotgun and .22 calibre rifle were stolen during a burglary at a rural property in Arcadia in December.
Det Act Sgt Clowes said about 150 rounds of assorted ammunition was also found at the house.
Police also seized $3700 in cash, as well as power tools.
A camper trailer that was stolen from Nagambie also most five years ago to the day was discovered at the second Shepparton house that was searched, while other parts of the camper trailer, including the canvas, were found at the Mooroopna house.
Two men were arrested and have been bailed to appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court later in the year.
A 23-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with possessing a traffickable quantity of firearms, possessing a firearm while a prohibited person, possessing a firearm while unlicensed, possessing ammunition without a licence, handling stolen goods and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
A 36-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with possessing a traffickable quantity of firearms, possessing firearms while a prohibited person, possessing ammunition without a licence, seven counts of handling stolen goods, two counts of negligently dealing with the proceeds of crime and possessing cannabis.
He was also charged with theft of a vehicle in December.
