The professionally organised skate, scooter, BMX, and rollerblade competition, hosted by experts Gnarly Neighbours, promises heart-stopping thrills for both participants and spectators alike.
Unleash your creativity at the event’s art stations, featuring hands-on workshops in spray painting, skateboard design and collaborative mural creation, adding a vibrant artistic dimension to the day’s entertainment.
Strathbogi Shire Council administrator Peter Stephenson said the event was designed to create a space where young members of the community can come together, fostering connections through music, art and shared experiences.
“We are really proud that this event is not just about entertainment, it’s about building a sense of belonging and inclusivity, providing young people with a platform to engage with their peers and the broader community,” he said.
The event is proudly supported by the FReeZA and Engage programs, local initiatives dedicated to empowering youth and fostering community engagement through cultural events.
This event is made possible by The Community Recovery Hub, with crucial support from both the Australian and Victorian governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
Ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all, the event will be fully supervised with professional security.
A family-friendly atmosphere will be maintained through a strict policy against drugs, alcohol, tobacco and vapes.
Included will be food vans and engaging art activities, all in a welcoming, inclusive environment designed for the whole community to connect and celebrate.
• In other Strathbogie Shire news, the Euroa Community Cinema is re-opening just in time for school holidays and is thrilled to present $5 screenings of Inside Out II (PG) on Wednesday, September 25 at 11am and 3pm, and 200% Wolf (PG) on Wednesday, October 2 at 11am and 3pm.
The youth program will also offer free screenings of Borderlands (M) on Thursday, September 26 at 7:30pm, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (M) on Tuesday, October 1 at 7:30pm.
Back by popular demand, the St Kilda Film Festival Regional Tour (MA15+) returns to the Euroa Community CInema for its second year, featuring 14 of Australia’s top short films selected from this year’s supersized 40th-anniversary program.
The screenings will take place on Saturday, September 28 at 7:30pm and Sunday, September 29 at 4pm.
