Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced James Seymour Architecture has been appointed to design the school’s $2,998,000 upgrade.
Master planning of the school site is underway, which include plans to upgrade and modernise the school.
Ms Symes said Nagambie families were a step closer to getting the great local school facilities their children need to thrive.
“We’re making sure that our schools have great facilities, our classrooms have the best teachers and that every child is given every chance to succeed,” she said.
Principal Rob French said the school was very pleased to have Ms Symes visit the school.
“It was Ms Symes’ office who advised us of our significant capital works funding late last year,” he said.
“She toured the school, met with our student Leaders and looked at our building plans. She also took the time to meet with the girls and talk about her school days and becoming a member of parliament.
“Ms Symes explained that just like them she grew up and went to school in a country town (Benalla) before going to university to study law.
“We genuinely appreciated the time she spent talking with our students.”
