WB utes turn heads

“The utes are a reminder of Australia’s manufacturing past, and we are continuing to show them off.”

Residents would have noticed fully restored WB Utes cruising around Echuca and Moama over the past weekend, with the iconic car being celebrated by owners and enthusiasts alike.

Roughly 100 fans came from as far as South Australia, New South Wales and regional Victoria and rolled into town with WB utes of various colours attracting eager lovers of the classic vehicle that once made the Holden logo smile with pride.

The collection of utes gathered at the Kerrabee Soundshell in Moama, before heading off to The Timbercutter at Mathoura for lunch.

“I loved these utes since I was a kid, and love them even more now,“ Mr Trotter said.

The collection of cars is part of the first annual event that Mr Trotter hopes will see a variety of WB utes thundering into town on a yearly basis.
