Traffic alert | Change of plan for key works

There has been a change of plan surrounding the works at a key roundabout in central Shepparton.

Traffic conditions at the intersection of Andrew Fairley Ave, Lockwood Rd, Old Dookie Rd and the entrance to SPC have been affected while upgrades have been implemented.

Having been closed to all traffic, the roundabout was set to reopen to traffic on Friday, August 11 — but this will no longer be the case.

The roundabout will stay closed until Friday, August 18, allowing for full project completion by then — instead of the originally scheduled date of Tuesday, August 29.

Greater Shepparton City Council officers, along with the contractor, identified the opportunity to bring forward the completion date and therefore made the decision to keep the intersection closed to traffic.

Access to SPC and the adjacent homes and businesses will continue to be maintained over the next week.
