During the meeting, the outstanding contributions of its staff members were celebrated with the Karingal Seymour Stars Awards for 2024.
Lachlan Deeble shone brightly as he earned the accolade for respect, while Isabella Caminiti was celebrated for her deep sense of empathy.
Sarah King and Megan Kennedy were also commended, recognised for their dedication to inclusiveness and teamwork, respectively.
“We’re very proud of the awards won by staff nominated by their peers,” Karingal Seymour director of nursing Elizabeth Duggin said.
“They received the most nominations from colleagues who thought long and hard.”
The celebration also featured a cake-cutting ceremony led by Joy Baker, a life governor of Karingal Seymour, who has diligently served in multiple committee roles.
Her participation was a heartwarming reminder of the community spirit that infuses Karingal’s mission.
“It’s proof of how successful we’ve been as an AGM, still operating as a not-for-profit for our community,” Ms Duggin said.
