Year Six students from St Joseph's Nagambie were recognised for completing their primary school years at the end of year mass on December 16.

Held at St Malachy's church, the nine students received a certificate, book of photos, and a medallion to commemorate their final year of primary school.
School awards for excellence in various subjects and hard work and perseverance, good citizenship and community qualities were also presented.
The award winners were:
• The Weary Dunlop award (awarded to the student who shows compassion, humility, friendship, forgiveness, courage, leadership and integrity and who still succeeds despite adversity) went to Nathaniel Demavibas
• The arts award went to Grace Le Deux
• The Margaret Perry award (awarded to the student who has achieved results through hard work and perseverance) went to Deanna King-Page.
• The Lions Club of Nagambie and District award (awarded to the student who has shown excellence in all areas of school life) went to Gabby Sellars.
• The Nagambie RSL sub-branch award (awarded to the student who has shown exceptional community spirit) went to Bas Verhoef.
• The Kevin Verge award (awarded to the student who excelled in mathematics) went to Gabby Sellars.
