It means a great deal to me, as it shows how far women have come over the centuries and how much we have achieved in our sisterhood.
This has been demonstrated through our connections with the women in our life, whether they are our mothers, aunts, grandmothers, close friends, work colleagues or the role models we want to emulate across history.
I think it’s fantastic to see women in high-profile positions, and I’m hoping that this exploration around International Women’s Day will show younger generations of females what they can achieve and what’s out there for them as future role models of the next generation.

It’s a day where all of our generational effort and work is recognised and celebrated.

It means celebrating diversity and appreciating the qualities and strength behind all the women we have in our society.
It’s about embracing the women who support women and the men who support women.
I appreciate all the women who have been in my life — my mum, daughters, my friends and all the women in my family who ensured we were all educated and had good jobs to support ourselves.

It’s about shining a light on women-specific issues and showing support for the women in our lives, whether that be partners, mothers, friends.
I also think, for me, it’s a day of bonding with women and sharing our stories with each other.
