On Sunday, November 20, more than 300 youths put the Kidz Fashion Week show together using their range of talents from modelling to fashion design and performance.
Of those 300 kids, Renee was the sole child to take home a talent contract.
A national athletics champion and sports enthusiast, she will use the contract to explore potential areas of interest like sports modelling.
After being scouted earlier this year, Renee entered the Australia’s Next Top Model competition which kick started her modelling adventure.
Renee’s mum Cathy Hughes said her daughter continued to take success in her stride.
“She’s the only 13-year-old girl with short, spiky hair,” she said.
“She is very funky. She’s definitely a different cat, but they love it, the judges.
“She really rocked the show.
“She is a very humble kid, really modest.”
Modest in her victory, Renee is quietly confident her individuality is her superpower.
Hoping for a sewing machine for Christmas, Renee is now keen to add designer to her growing list of achievements alongside sports star and model.
