The Skill Up program is an introductory training program that aims to get students job-ready in the fields of civil construction, engineering, agriculture, manufacturing and general trades.
The program saw the students complete accredited units, which included how to work safely in these industries, basic procedures and techniques, operating certain machinery and first aid.
Students were also given the opportunity to partake in immersion tours to Furphy’s Engineering, Jarvis Delahey Contractors and Goulburn Valley Water’s farms and water treatment plant, hearing from employers and industry representatives about pathways and skills required for the industries.
Here’s a few pictures from the graduation ceremony.
