Following the closure of the Riverlinks catering department and Encore Café at the end of last year, catering at Riverlinks venues will be delivered by external providers on a non-exclusive basis.
Venue hirers will be able to engage any caterer for their event from a list of approved suppliers.
The commercial kitchen at Riverlinks Eastbank has an extensive range of equipment, utensils, crockery and glassware, suitable for providing meals for up to 800 guests.
Catered events include large-scale dinners, presentation balls, conferences and a wide variety of meetings.
Businesses may choose to cater for small events only.
Caterers will be required to pay fees for the hire of the kitchen facilities and to register any event on Streatrader.
Riverlinks venues manager Ken Cameron said providing a variety of high-quality catering options to venue hirers was essential.
“It’s important that our catering offerings reflect our diverse community,” he said.
“We encourage all who are interested to apply, including those businesses who wish to cater only smaller functions.”
Interested catering business should apply online at bit.ly/RiverlinksEOI.
The initial round of applications closes at 5pm on Friday, March 10; however, catering businesses can apply to join this list at a future date by contacting Riverlinks or applying via the link provided.
In addition to the new catering announcement, Riverlinks also launched its new entertainment package.
The entertainment package is a new way to save on Riverlinks Season shows in the evenings without the cost and commitment of membership. All music fans and theatre goers need to do is purchase tickets to three or more shows of the Riverlinks Season in a single transaction before Wednesday, March 15 to receive discounted tickets throughout the year.
“It’s been a difficult few years for artists, performers, Riverlinks and our community due to the ongoing pandemic and 2022 flood that has impacted so many in our region and caused significant damage to Eastbank,” Mr Cameron said.
“The higher-than-expected ticket sales at our season 2023 launch is evidence that people are ready to return to live entertainment and enjoy performances with family and friends.
“We hope this new offering allows audience members to see more of the shows they love.”
