Quick response to Anzac Ave house fire

A fire broke out at a house on Anzac Ave, between Howe St and Sinclair Cres, on Saturday, August 5.

Seymour, Hildene and Broadford fire brigades were called to the scene, and arrived at 4.42pm.

Every room of the house was affected. There was a large amount of smoke, and extensive damage to the home.

By 5.07pm the brigades had the fire under control. The fire was extinguished by 5.30pm.

The house did not appear to be occupied, and no-one was injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown. The matter has been referred to the fire investigator.

No neighbouring properties were affected.
