As end-of-year exams approach, it is not just VCE students already turning their thoughts to life beyond the books.
This week, Seymour College hosted its careers quick meet day.
The day gave years 9 and 10 students a chance to speak to people from all different types of trades and industries they may be interested in once finishing school.
Acting Sergeant Kat Mills and First Constable Emily Powter from the Proactive Policing Unit attended the day.
Some of the topics covered included the process to join Victoria Police, leave entitlements, types of jobs police attend every day, hours worked per shift and, of course, the best and worst parts of policing.
