The 2012 Nissan Navara was parked on the nature strip of a home on Maidenhair Dve at 3.30am on Saturday, July 2, when its window was smashed and the ignition was forced.
The vehicle has since been found but the offender is still unknown.
Timber frames taken
Timber framing has been stolen from two building sites in Beveridge.
Timber valued at $6000 was stolen from a house under construction in Numbut Dve between June 25 and 27.
All the timber was strapped together, with the longest piece measuring six metres.
The second theft occurred between 3pm on June 30 and 9am on July 1, when temporary fencing was removed from a house under construction in Dingo Rd and the timber frame that had been delivered to the site was stolen.
The timber was in three packs about five metres long and one metre wide, wrapped in plastic and extremely heavy. It was valued at $10,000.
Offenders would have needed a trailer and possibly a bob cat to remove the timber from the sites due to the weight of the timber.
Car, garage broken into
A Makita toolbox has been stolen from a garage in Wallan.
Between 1am and 2am on June 28, the offender gained access to a vehicle parked outside a Birdwood Cres home and used the garage remote clicker to open the garage.
Nothing else was stolen.
Search for grocery thief
Police are searching for a man who failed to pay for a trolley full of groceries at Woolworths in Seymour.
At 7.10pm on July 1, the man walked through the self-serve checkout pushing the trolley, but made no attempt to pay for the groceries.
He is described as tall and of Indian appearance with black hair and was wearing long pants and a dark blue jumper. He left in a white Toyota Camry.
Chains cut to grab bikes
Two bicycles have been stolen from a home in Halpin St, Seymour.
The chains used to secure the bikes were cut and the bikes were taken between 7pm on June 30 and 11.45am on July 1.
The Black Shimano with a black basket attached to the back and a black rack on the font and the red Zoltan e-bike with a blue soft Esky attached to the back were valued at $1600.
Window smashed during break-in
A number of cordless drill starter kits have been stolen from The Reject Shop in Seymour.
At 4.20am on June 30, a man smashed the store’s front window to gain access, stole the starter kits and left again via the smashed window.
The man was described as older and was wearing a hoodie and Adidas cap.
