Seth completed three laps of a course that stretched from Windridge Oval, looped around Moon Oval and then finished at the front of the pavilion, which was decked out in pink for the Run for Mum theme that accompanied the event.
While the St Joseph’s event had a dual focus, with Mother’s Day also a major consideration on the day, it will be all business at the Campaspe cross country event at Moama’s Jack Eddy Oval on Thursday.
Physical activity continues for students on Friday, which is Walk Safely to School Day.
There is also a buzz within the school community as the Australian Open Ball Kid trials are coming to Rochester.
Students can register to be involved in the world-class event on the school Facebook site.
On the run: Jordi Campbell was “in the groove’’ during the first lap of the cross country event, which doubled as a Mother’s Day celebration, at Windridge Oval last week.
Go team: Harper Williams watches from the stands before it was her turn to take to the oval and tackle three laps of the cross country course that wound its way through Rochester Recreation Reserve.
Pink and proud: Hannah Nicholson and her pink bow tie last week.
On the sidelines: Alyssa Shawcross and Ayla Letcher are a picture of concentration as they prepare to tackle the course.
