Community groups and businesses from Tocumwal and Barooga will be able to find and apply for grants more easily, thanks to a partnership between Berrigan Shire and a major search engine company.
Berrigan Shire Council have joined forces with Australia’s most powerful grant search engine, Grant Guru, to provide a free one-stop-shop website for business and community grants.
Those seeking grants can use the simple search engine to find available grants and filter grants by specifying location, industry, and type of project.
The website also assists with advice and top tips for finding and applying for grants to maximise applicants’ chances of receiving the funding they need.
Berrigan Shire Council Mayor Matthew Hannan said it is all about making things easier for residents.
“Council wanted to assist local businesses and groups further to find and apply for grants,” he said.
“There are a lot of great funding opportunities out there, but the process of finding and applying for grants can be daunting and time-consuming, and many people don’t know where to start looking.”
It won’t just be residents and private businesses using the new method.
Grant Guru will also be used by Berrigan Shire Council staff for finding and applying for grants to fund projects.
