The annual Mothers’ Union Communion service at St Paul’s Avenel on December 8 was led by Reverend Richard Pennington.
Scripture readings were read by Mothers’ Union members and traditional carols were sung during the service.
President Mary Greenshields thanked Rev Pennington for conducting the service and supporting the Mothers’ Union all year and wished the members a merry Christmas and happy new year.
Following the service, members enjoyed lunch at the Nagambie Rowing Club bistro, where they were entertained by Jim Johnson.
The parish would like to thank all who have donated goods or funds for the Salvocare Christmas project.
The donated goods were given to the Salvation Army on Monday, December 12, to distribute locally.
Mothers’ Union will resume again in February.
