Maccas will be using Menulog’s ‘self-delivery’ option, which enables restaurants to use their own drivers.
McDelivery via Menulog will be contact-free, a service both McDonald’s and Menulog have implemented across all orders. Specific delivery instructions can also be added to orders.
McDonald’s Seymour licensee Luke Crozier said the partnership gave the restaurant the ability to bring great food to more locals during a challenging time.
“Most people are using the drive-through at the moment, but this is great for people who don’t have a car or access to the store,” he said.
“We’re looking at delivery to locations within a seven-minute drive of the Seymour store. That’s based on maintaining the freshness and the quality of the food when it gets to the customer.
“We are looking at what gives people the freshest food and what keeps our staff safe on country roads.”
Mr Crozier said he was thankful for the trust people had in the McDonald’s brand and the support customers had shown during the pandemic.
“This platform helps us to stay open and keep people in jobs, which is positive for the community,” he said.
“We’re very happy to be delivering the McDonald’s experience in a way that people feel safe and comfortable with.”
