Kyabram appeal area manager Mick Crompton has a long association with the door knock through his 10 years as captain of the Kyabram Fire Brigade.
"We will drive around the township from 9am, starting with streets on the north side of Allan St,” he said.
“The afternoon will continue with the streets on the south side of Allan St.”
In recent years, due to the pandemic, CFA volunteers have not door knocked. Instead they have had the truck sirens blaring and people have come out of their homes and met the collectors at their front gates.
“The trucks will sound their sirens when they are in your area and volunteers will be walking the streets with collection tins,” he said.
Merrigum CFA will be collecting in their township and surrounding area and all members involved will have an official collection tag valid for Good Friday only.
The Kyabram fire station will be open from 9am until 5pm for those wanting to call into the station and make a donation.

“This is a cause close to the hearts of many of us in the community, please give that they may grow,” Mr Crompton said.
Tom Druggan, as current brigade captain, will be leading the door-knocking CFA members in their bid to match the records of previous years.
