He had promised to mow the Kings Park oval himself should the Lions claim victory.
Seymour prevailed in the GVL clash against Mooroopna and, making good on his bet, Branson met with Kings Park curator Rob D'Orria on Thursday, May 18.
Under Rob’s guidance, after fuelling up on humble pie, Bransen set to work.
Rob kindly lent Bransen a mower from his business, Country Wide Turf Solutions, while he sat back, cracked a beer and enjoyed a night off.
Bransen said he was happy to make good on his bet.
“Before the game I thought I stood a good chance of getting my tip right, but that feeling was blown out of the water by quarter-time,” he said.
“I'll certainly think twice before tipping against Seymour in the future, although it might be worth doing just that if it means I get to eat more of Rob's delicious humble pie.”
It was a colourful introduction to sport in Seymour for Hamish, who is eager to get to work covering as much Seymour sport as possible.
