The school is keen to share exciting developments in areas of curriculum and digital learning via Zoom.
Families will have an opportunity to ask questions and to learn more about the school with principal Peter Cooper.
He will be joined by director of teaching and learning Dr Judy Rutter and year four teacher and newly appointed head of digital learning Jen Ling.
Mr Cooper said the school was an International Baccalaureate World School that aimed to embrace an ever-changing world with confidence.
“A good school has certain key characteristics that are readily recognisable. A good school cares for the individual, practices diversity and offers experiences for growth,” he said.
“A great school, such as The Kilmore International School, has these characteristics embedded in its culture and daily practice.
“Such an ambitious environment takes commitment and teamwork, and our students are joined in their journey by highly qualified, experienced and inspirational teachers.
“Our teachers understand that a child will not care about how much they know, until they know how much they care.”
Mr Cooper said it had been a wonderful experience connecting with families in an online format.
“While it doesn’t quite compare to the more natural interaction you would receive in a physical setting, the online sessions are proving to be convenient and incredibly informative for families,” he said.
“The purpose of the information session is to assist families who are making important educational decisions for their children.
“The forum allows our team to provide answers specific to attendee questions and provide information with regard to how our school supports the development and nurtures the pursuit of academic excellence for each and every student.”
The information session will be held on October 20 at 7pm. Families are encouraged to register for the event via the school website at kilmore.vic.edu.au to receive a link.
