The event welcomed all Kindergarten and Primary School-aged children and was a resounding success, bringing families together for fun, dancing, and community spirit.
From the moment the doors opened at 6pm, the hall was filled with excitement.
Children in their favourite disco outfits eagerly danced, showcasing their best moves to a mix of music that had everyone tapping their feet.
The playlist featured a blend of classic hits and modern pop songs, ensuring something for everyone to enjoy.
Principal Jason Whiteley, reflecting on the event, said seeing the joy on the kids' faces and the way the community came together was truly heart-warming.
“Events like this are what make our community special, and it's wonderful to see everyone having such a great time," he said.
The disco also featured a variety of activities and entertainment options.
A glow stick station and coloured hair spray corner added to the festive atmosphere, letting children accessorise with bright colours and fun hairstyles.
Parents generously provided the refreshments, offering a selection of snacks and drinks that kept everyone energised for a night of non-stop dancing.
Parents and teachers alike praised the fantastic atmosphere, the event's organisation, and the positive energy that filled the hall.
"It was a wonderful opportunity for the kids to socialise outside of school and for parents to connect with each other," one parent said.
"We're already looking forward to the next one!"
The Katamatite Primary School Community Disco was more than just fun; it celebrated community spirit and togetherness. As the night ended, the smiles on everyone's faces showed the event's success, leaving everyone eager for future gatherings.
