Purchase and Parker both lined up for two games throughout the week, and while the scores may have been relatively one-sided, with a number of AFL clubs' Next Generation Academies among the fixture, the Seymour duo were able to put in strong performances in their first go at representative football.
On the Tuesday, Goulburn Murray took on Richmond NGA Pioneers 2 at Deakin Reserve, with the Tigers too strong for the local team.
Beaten by 82 points, GM failed to produce scoring options in their attack, though Purchase was judged among the best for Goulburn Murray.
And on the Thursday, the team took on another academy team in Geelong Cats Academy.
Ultimately Goulburn Murray went down by 72 points, though Purchase was again named among the six best players on the day.
