Inland Rail unveils updated bridge designs for Broadford

New visualisations highlight upgraded bridges with new traffic connections, improved pedestrian safety and the reinstated Rupert St playground.

Other community benefits of the latest designs include a safer intersection at Hamilton and High Sts, improved layout at Catherine Ct, traffic-calming measures when approaching Broadford, a gateway creating a welcome entry to town and shared use paths on both bridges and a network of connected pathways.

Locals are also invited to have their say on landscaping, bridge artwork, playground equipment and the design of town entry signs.

Updated designs for the third Broadford replacement bridge at Marchbanks Rd will be shared next year.

Inland Rail and construction partner John Holland will be available to discuss the latest designs, outline the next steps and collect community feedback at a series of information sessions and online until Sunday, December 15.
