The Family Fun Day is to showcase what it can offer to those people receiving NDIS funding.
The event will be a great opportunity to meet the Benalla office team, who are the ones that clients will be supported by.
Attendees can hear from current participants that receive supports through Infinity and how they are supported to reach their desired goals.
There will be a number of support workers to chat to about their experiences working with Infinity and what they do to support the participants.
You can also chat with a support coordinator about the role and how they can support with engaging allied health supports, therapy supports and more.
Infinity’s chief executive officer will also be there to discuss what it can offer.
A free barbecue lunch will be provided and there will be a range of activities, including face painting, giant games, music, dancing and more.
Infinity Coordination and Support marketing and events manager Mel Carmody said it could help with support coordination, community supports, short-term accommodation, supported independent living and groups-based activities — which would be up and running by the end of March.
“(A) support coordinator’s role is, in conjunction with the participant, to ensure a mix of supports are used to increase capacity to maintain relationships, manage service-delivery tasks, live more independently and be included in the community,” Ms Carmody said.
She said Infinity offers community-based supports that include:
- Support in home (such as) domestic supports;
- Personal care;
- Cooking;
- Learning, and maintaining Independent living skills;
- Accessing community-based programs;
- Shopping;
- Supporting participants to pay bills;
- Going to visit family and friends;
- Building and maintaining relationships; and
- Activities — such as going to the movies, mini golf, skill development and more.
Infinity also offers short-term accommodation based in Benalla. This is staffed 24/7 if required.
Infinity is also starting up group activities that will be based locally, offering a wide range of fun learning material.
It also has an outreach program that aims to to empower participants to gain more independence in social environments.
The outreach program assists with daily living activities, accessing the local community and taking part in groups, or activities.
