Organisers are taking a holistic approach to health by including a wide scope of professionals and local businesses in this year’s Health and Wellbeing Event.
Greater Shepparton partnerships and marketing co-ordinator Liz Connick said last year’s inaugural event showed there was a need for it to continue.
“We also wanted to increase the area to showcase the many and varied support services on offer here in Greater Shepparton,” she said.
“In the last two years many new and innovative professional services in the health and wellbeing sector have opened, and we are spoilt for choice.”
This year’s theme, ‘Move Forward’, encourages building a healthy, active and mindful lifestyle.
Ms Connick said the day would have something for everyone, no matter where they were on their health and wellness journey.
With a focus on finding what wellness means for the individual, familiar faces from across the region will host a range of activities and stalls, alongside national names such as Mindy Woods and Kat John.
On the list is a sexual educator, a physio, gym owners, a breathwork specialist, a nutritionist — and there’s more to come.
They will host workshops, participate in keynote speaking or perhaps perform a cooking demonstration or a group workout session.
The event will be held at the McIntosh Centre, Shepparton, on Sunday, September 18. Tickets will be on sale soon, with the official event program to be released in the coming weeks.
