In January 2024, she launched HB Beauty Box in Seymour after moving to the area.
“I was in London before, and that’s where I did my training,” Ms Bennett said.
“It (the brand) didn’t technically launch in London.”
“I sort of started the brand, but then I was going to Australia, so it didn’t take off fully.”
Ms Bennett started her brand in London mainly doing her friends’ and families’ lashes, but now she takes clients in her beauty studio in Seymour.
“It started with me just loving doing my own (lashes and brows),” she said.
“I love doing lashes, and then I started doing my sister’s, and then she was like, ‘oh, you’re really good at doing it’.”
So, she figured she may as well give the business idea a go and help make others feel good.
“Having brows and lashes done is the majority of your face and the majority of what you do makeup-wise,” Ms Bennett said.
“It’s quite nice that once that’s done, you feel a bit more together.”
HB Beauty Box offers three categories of services: Brow styling, lash lifting and waxing.
“I specialise in eyelashes and brows, but in the sense of keeping it natural,” Ms Bennett said.
“No false lashes, just using your natural hair and enhancing them.”
“I do waxing as well, threading, plucking, dyeing and tinting.”
Depending on services, Ms Bennett’s services cost from $10 to $70.
“I charge $70 for lash lift and tint... but if you want to package, it’s 15 per cent off,” she said.
All services offered are available for all genders, not just women and female identifying people.
“It’s a free world,” Ms Bennett said.
“If it should be for females, men should have it too.”
Ms Bennett offers other packages too and has an ongoing giveaway to celebrate the opening of HB Beauty Box.
“The giveaway is doing eyelash lift and lamination, so you get both,” she said.
“I’m giving away this serum for eyelashes and brows, which is the brand that I’m also stocking.”
Winners of the giveaway will be picked on Wednesday, January 31.
For Ms Bennett and HB Beauty Box, it may only be the start of the business this year, but she has big plans and goals for 2024.
“I just want to grow off my client base. I want to get returned clients, that’s my main goal,” Ms Bennett said.
“I want people to leave and be happy and come back to build a connection.”
Ms Bennett said seeing clients returning would be a slow build, as treatments often last eight weeks to 12 weeks.
“We’re really happy when I can see a customer coming back,” she said.
“That’s my goal.”
