Grants available to support RSLs across the region

Grants of up to $50,000 are on offer for RSLs to help in restoring memorials or their facilities.

State Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland said the grants would be useful for RSLs that had been impacted by storm and weather damage from last year.

“In recent months, I have been contacted by local groups looking to restore local cenotaphs, as well as upgrade their RSL facilities,” Ms Cleeland said.

“Our veterans and military history are a crucial part of our region, and I highly encourage any organisation needing upgrades to look into these grants.”

Ms Cleeland also noted that she would be happy to assist with writing letters of support for RSLs if required.

“Should you need a letter of support for your project, please reach out to me and I will be more than happy to help,” Ms Cleeland said.

RSLs can apply for grants of up to $30,000, which are available to restore war memorials, as well as grants of up to $50,000, which are on offer for capital works to build or improve spaces that deliver services to veterans and their families.

Both grants are open until February 3.
